Preterm labour induction: modalities, implications and outcomes

European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, 317: 114847 (2026)

Shanny Kolp-Asis, Roi Yozevitch, Reut Baram, Elad Miron, Limor Vaknin-Geron, Shani Levin, Sabina Razdolsky, Nissim Arbib

Retrospective cohort study of 563 preterm inductions (29–36 weeks). Prostaglandins associated with lowest caesarean rates (10.7% vs 30.4% balloon catheter + oxytocin, 21.5% oxytocin alone). No significant differences in adverse neonatal outcomes across groups.

The risk of preterm delivery after appendectomy during pregnancy is higher in the face of a negative appendectomy

American Journal of Surgery, 240: 116120 (2025)

Yoav Baruch, Sabina Razdolsky, Emmanuel Attali, Matan Anteby, Yariv Yogev, Nadav Michaan

Retrospective cohort of 185 pregnant women who had appendectomy vs 555 controls. Preterm delivery higher in appendectomy group (11.9% vs 5.4%). Negative appendectomies carried higher preterm risk than inflamed cases. Appendectomy itself was the sole significant risk factor (OR 2.3).

Is expectant management of late preterm prelabor rupture of membranes an option in patients with Group B streptococcus colonization?

International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics — Online ahead of print (2025)

Elior Eliasi, Sabina Razdolsky, Elena Minich, Shanny Kolp Asis, Ella Segal, Ariel Many, Miriam Lopian

Study of 217 pregnancies (34–37 weeks) comparing GBS carriers (98) vs non-carriers (119). No significant difference in chorioamnionitis, neonatal fever, or adverse outcomes. Expectant management with antibiotic prophylaxis appears safe for GBS-colonized women with late PPROM.
